It’s early morn on Christmas Eve
It’s dark outside
The wind is howling
Inside I find calm and warmth
The love of my Jesus prepared to receive
I sit and admire our Christmas tree
All adorned with love for you
The memories it holds
Each ornament a story does tell
Of you and all friends and family
In the glow of the tree, twinkling lights
Each sparkle a happy thought
Ones that make me smile
Ones that make me sigh
Memories so vivid, memories so right
The tree everlasting, like life invited
Gives me hope I’ll see Brian again
Gives me hope for loved ones
Gives me hope for eternity
In heaven we’ll all be reunited
Daylight starts to peak through the night
A magnificent buck in the yard
Lays sleeping absent of fear
A safe place for just a moment
Creation on display, Brian’s star shining bright
To share over these past seven years
With family and friends
At Christmas time
To know that we’re not alone
To share and wipe away all our tears
Gazing at the tree standing oh so high
Each ornament in its perfect spot
The love of a mother reflecting God’s light
Knowing the Lord has us in his hands
Reminded of his amazing grace by Brian’s big blue sky
