Brian would have been 29 today. These days are always so difficult. As the seasons have passed we have all learned to cope. We find ways to find joy in the pain. It is conscientious, not automatic, it takes effort. We do it. I am continuously amazed at the strength of my wife and my girls. Each passing day I see things in them that I would never had imagined, things they shouldn’t have had to learn the way they did. But, perhaps it is the only way we could become the people we are today. My wife and girls are studs!! I am so grateful that they are in my life and that I have given the privilege of sharing even a moment with them.
Each birthday we meet at Brian, we reminisce and enjoy each others’ company. This year was especially renewing. All of us were engaged, reflecting on the wondrous time we got to spend with our Brian. We then have one of Brian’s favorite meals which is Indian food. It was a great meal with all of us. The restaurant and all those that served were wonderful people, they had no idea about Brian but they knew we were celebrating family.
The Lord allowed us to have a phenomenal day and I am so thankful for these times. Life is precious and short and I appreciate each moment I get to have with the one’s I love.
